The Arizona Collaborative Clearinghouse is developed by Arizona Collaborative for Sustainable Communities — a partnership between Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) and Arizona State University (ASU) Stardust Center for Affordable Homes and the Family. ADOH was established in 2001 to assist in developing the tools to impact an area of growing concern for the state, an issue that impacts the lives of all Arizonans—homes for working families. Since 2005 the ASU Stardust Center supports organizations, neighborhoods, and professionals in their efforts to improve the growth of quality affordable homes and sustainable communities through research, educational outreach, advocacy and design innovation. This Clearinghouse is a joint effort that draws on the expertise of both of these partners to support the efforts of housing providers, practitioners, policy makers, and other stakeholders in Arizona who are seeking to develop affordable housing and thoughtfully integrate that housing into the community.
Through our content — news, documents, featured projects, success stories, special reports and public education materials — and online tools such as chat rooms and webinars, this Clearinghouse provides access to reliable and relevant informational resources and new insights on affordability and sustainable development with particular relevance to communities and conditions in Arizona. It also offers a forum for disseminating policy, legislative or program initiatives for discussion among registered users. The Clearinghouse calendar displays events of interest to those working on affordable housing and community development issues. Registered users can also propose new events or sources for the calendar.
